Niko started training MMA in 2009 and was instantly hooked. He held a 9-0 amateur record as well as the Welterweight Title Belt for Elite Promotions. He's competed and placed in countless grappling competitions and recently earned his brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He began fighting professionally in 2012 and went on to earn and successfully defend the inaugural Fight Time Promotions Welterweight Title. Niko's journey to the UFC has been far from easy but despite the doubt, sacrifices, fear, pain, injuries, disappointments, financial struggles and set backs he persevered and is now in the beginning stages of living out his dream and God's pla for his life. He owes his success to God, the love and support of his family, his wife Erica and their 5 children, his parents, brothers, extended family, coaches past & present, teammates, sponsors & friends.
